In my library post (click HERE to read) I talked about LibraryThing. Another feature they offer is to sign up to be a early reviewer on books. When I was browsing their available books I came across

The above chart is included in the book. This is the first thing that got my attention. Working with K-3, there is so many things that we need to teach. Having a chart that lays out what text feature should be learned by the end of each grade level is such a great resource.


But what got me really hooked me, was the lesson plans. Each one is broken down into parts. With Purpose, Prerequisite Skills needed, Materials, Directions, Modifications, Assessment options, and finally technology.

Most of the lesson plans have the charts needed already made (included on ebook, or on a cd with print version) But what I loved is the technology part for each lesson. Being that I am in both Reading and Computer labs, I am constantly trying to integrate one subject into the other. This is all done for me!
