Diary of an Elf : Days 2-7

Forewarning I had this BRIGHT idea of trying out a new idea of "blogging" on our school website (I am the guinea pig for new tech things at work) So here are Days 2-7: LONG post.....

Day 2:

I decided to stay close, so I went next door to Kindergarten! When I first walked in I met Pete the Cat! Woohoo! He called his friend Labby from the Computer Lab...We decided to play in the Kindergarten room......Want to see what we did ???  I made a slideshow below with the pictures ....just click the link.....

Jingle's Adventure Part 1

Now, we had LOTS of fun....you should hang out in the Kindergarten room sometime!  Kindergarten left the following note for Santa .....I delivered it to him ...Here's what it said:
Dear Santa;
Thank you for the brownies. We had them for snack. Jingle, Pete and Labby had a party in our room. They made a mess. We had to clean it up, but we did not mind. We found jingle in our Christmas tree and his friends were hiding in our room.
We like our new friends. We also found his red door. We did not touch him. We heard him talking today and he crossed his legs. He is real!!! We want you to know that we are being good so please bring us a present. Thank you Santa!

Day 3 & 4

Day 3:
I was a bit tired after my party in Kindergarten. So I decided I needed a bit of a nap, but DON'T worry I was still watching the students! I went down the hall to Mrs. Cobb's 1st Grade ....Hope she didn't mind I made myself a bed......

The students had program practice most of the morning, so it was a nice place to rest.....that was until they came back. I think they turned on their voices to LOUD......they were not listening to their teacher either! What is an elf to do.....I decided when they were at recess to use my door....

and go back to the North Pole and talk to the boss......Santa. We decided to give the students some activities that they could do to keep their voices down.   Now, let me refresh your memory, in case you forgot, I have a rule ......

Guess what .....one of the students thought they would touch me with a pencil.....guess what happened I LOST my Magic........Things are busy around the North Pole so when I didn't check in, they weren't worried as I had come earlier in the day......
Can I tell you here I was stuck in the Christmas tree all night, I couldn't go visit my friends, go back home NOTHING......which leads to :

Day 4:
Please Students don't touch me, I was so lonesome here in Mrs. Cobb's Christmas tree all night, which meant without my magic, I wasn't able to move on to another place, I was going to go the cafeteria and hang out with the lunch ladies that day....sigh....I stayed in Mrs. Cobb's room, hoping I would remember all the things I learned by watching her class for 2 days.....Just as school was over the package arrived from the North Pole ........

and with a little of the dust ....

Which came in the NICK (pun intended) of time....as it was time for the Christmas Program
That's Mrs. Perce and I, the program was AWESOME....I Love Christmas music!

Now, I best go check out the other classrooms, while everyone is gone. I heard the students are wondering where I am going next. I don't know myself, I like to pick out a room after everyone is gone. I best get moving as it is almost time for my trip to the North Pole! Stay tuned to see where I go next!

Day 5:

Day 5: It's a Jungle in here
No, I am not kidding, today I decided to go to Mrs. Lane's 1st Grade and it's REALLY a Jungle in there....no not the students, that is how she has her room decorated......While trying to decide where to hang out....I found the perfect place

jungle lane

This is of course after I walked the tight rope (sorry no pictures) ....For the most part this class was pretty good, but they DO like to talk ALOT! But a good report was given to Santa..

Day 6:

Went back to the North Pole for some new elf training .....Got to meet Frosty who is now in Mrs. Wilhelm's class starting today. Gave him some insider information on the students in that class....hope they treat him well...Now

Day 6.....
As you know Elves love to joke around ....so today I stopped in Mrs. Mohler's 2nd Grade class room,

hook

Here I am where I got hooked .....right behind the teacher's desk.....During reading time, Mrs. Mohler caught me while I was watching.....she got a bit startled....guess she didn't realize my eyes DO move....Oops forgot to share that......I also left them some of my favorite jokes here is one.....

I crack myself up.....but this group was another chatty but good bunch of students....I heard it said that there was a Board meeting tonight.......Hmmm.....I checked my sources to see what the Board is at the school....They make policies so I heard the other day a thought....
board visit
No word what they thought to my suggestion ........(It reads No School between Thanksgiving and Christmas)
Now, I best go check out the other classrooms, while everyone is gone. I heard the students are wondering where I am going next. I don't know myself, I like to pick out a room after everyone is gone. Day 7:

Here was the clue I placed in the announcements today: "Locked doors are no match for me, while the cat is out of HER office the mouse will play" .....
Kathi is visiting family, so Lynne covers the office during the morning. Hmmm.....the other night I needed to make a copy of something but I needed a code to use it....DRAT....but what do my eyes see in Lynne's office.... A copier ....and I couldn't resist.....

Diary of an Elf Day 1

Today I met 28 preschoolers....wow do they have energy! The teacher LOVES snow so I thought I would make snow angels. Good thing I had some fake snow, as it was 70's in IL today....Santa told me to dress warm as IL winters are cold.....Not today!

As you can see I had to tell the classes about myself, so I found THIS packet with a letter and rules that go with me. Thanks, Robynn for doing the work for me, as I am so busy this time of year!!
The teacher read my book so when the question came up as to how I get back to the North Pole without feet. The teacher reminded them that I fly just as they had read in my book.

Now, I left a few things for the teachers (a behavior list, with the students names so they can keep track of the Naughty and Nice list and I will pick it up before I go to the North Pole at night) I left
these for the students:
 I also left this sign

This way the other students who are keeping tracking can see who has the elf/already had it.
You can grab the sign below

Well, I am off to go check out the other rooms here at the school. I hope I meet some friends. Then of course it will be time for me to go file my report to Santa. Stayed tune tomorrow to see where I go next!
