THIS purchase from Cara! Now I am planning an entire new classroom around the blackboard. Not

that I NEED anymore fonts, already have 1000+ but this DOES give me some choices right...LOL

 now for a funny, who doesn't ADORE Deanna Jump and TPT....

This of COURSE was a dead link on Pinterest....but had to share. I got my

coworker Marcia to go with me to Vegas with me just by saying Deanna Jump is going to be

there! (did I mention Marcia was to have tendon surgery pushed it back to go to Vegas with me, Love Her)

Pinterest inspired

Made it Monday #4

I am linking up again with Monday Made it, I did make this Monday, but waited until spray paint dried.....and dried..now we have a heat advisory in IL...really as I was sweating and sweating again while painting. Guess I would have just passed out if I did it now.....

As you know I am cleaning/purging. When this house was built, it wasn't known at the time but it was built amongst a sand vein, so the sump pump go through about 900 gallons a day. This was confirmed after our sump pump died for the 3rd time in 6 years. (we are talking HEAVY duty one at that) So before this was all figured out, we had two massive floods in the basement. One was 18 inches, the other was 10. So ALOT was destroyed....But these cabinets were salvaged. That  was my mission to make over these. (As you can see they were a hot mess to say the least) Below are my inspiration pins......

A gal I know is getting married (I am doing crafts on my cameo for her) but her shower was this past weekend. I saw this, loved the idea of the initials, but wanted they could use after the shower. So here is my adaptation. Scrabble magnets.

Pinterest and me

I decided to catch up on some of the linky parties here . Darn if there weren't several on each one I loved. So what is a gal to do but pin it. Suddenly, on a IKEA pin (shocked I'm sure) the below pops up:

Now you see why they call me Ms. Pinterest! For your information I wasn't able to use my pin it bookmarklet or those on blogs, but I was able to pin from the site....and I did. LOL.....I emailed like they said and by the time I got a response I could pin everywhere again. But just thought I'd share :) Speaking of Pinterest guess I best go make some of those ideas I find!

Dr. Seuss is on the loose

I love love this week, as it is devoted to reading......Plus for whole entire week my love of Dr. Seuss comes out!

Prior to finding teacher blogs I thought we rocked the week, but NOW...between them and pinterest I have  a couple of pictures to share (I never remember my camera, so forgive the pictures)
Our building as I have said in the past used to be a HS (where my mom went) JH (my sisters and I went to K-6th here) and now Prek-3rd, this was the old trophy case. The gal I work with changes it with different themes over the school year. I added the banner. I had Dr. Seuss Scrap paper I was saving hoarding. So I used my new cameo to make it.

Linda Lou Who (her official Dr. Seuss name) my coworker, stalked Kohl's so we could get all the characters a few years back. I was ecstatic when the Lorax AND Horton came out together. (My top 2 favorites IF I was forced to pick) I love love the quote from the Lorax  "Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not."  So I found THIS idea for Truffula trees! She used directions from Martha Stewart, but I am a very visual person, so I searched for more detailed how to's on the pom pom's and found these! So here is what I did on Sunday at work.

Now after 3 Major basement floods wouldn't you know the one thing I needed (the old tree section from my childhood) is MIA....So will have to work on that for next year....Love these ideas that work out so easily and fun to do. There you have some ideas if you need them.

 I am prewriting this Sunday night, as our Family Reading Night is Monday so my day starts at work at 7:10 am and I don't get home for good (got to come and let dog out in between) until usually about 8 pm...exhausted....so I will share some new ideas from that soon! Pinterest widget

So while blog stalking my crafty blogs I saw a pinterest widget for my blog. They make it much too complicated than it is! See mine below and in action on the right side of my home page

If you would like your own here's what you need to do

1. http://www.widgetbox.com/widgets/ (you need to sign up to make widgets)

2. make your widget by clicking on the orange blogger button

3. this is what you need to enter on the next page where it says username you replace it with your
    name on pinterest.

feed://pinterest.com/[username]/feed.rss

 Then the site will walking you through into making your widget. Then it will give you a code to paste into your layout on blogger or wordpress!

Just a heads up ....Ebooks for as little as $1. I love these, I have them in a collection on google docs so I can get them at home or school. I love my flash drives, but remembering what is on what is always an issue ;) Sale ends July 31st.

This place is so awesome! It may also be my downfall...LOL....My friends on facebook awhile back started having these "so and so just pinned a pin to pinterest" I resisted and then after awhile I caved...and its been so much fun...but it also leads me to finding more and more to buy...LOL
