Digital Wish

I am doing a fundraiser for my school via Digital Wish. I am not just asking for the tablets for my computer labs, but for our classrooms PreK-3rd, to use during their math and literacy centers. As you know technology opens a new world to the students. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Video to share

Found the below video on Pinterest. As we receive our postcards from the various states, I thought this would be a cool resource to share as we tour the states.

If you school "blocks" you tube Jessica has a great tutorial on how to save videos from You tube!

Pencil Sharpener Review

Sharpeners
So when I agreed to review this, I was so excited! As you know I teach in the school I went to school at.

Sometimes I think that some of the the above were left over from my days in school, as well as they work....

Then there are rooms that have these, which if they are like ours, they are noisy beasts....that is if they don't overheat (oh the smell of burning plastic) or just die.....

So I tried Troy's out in my room for a week, then I sent it to my friend's 1st Grade classroom. OMG....there are always pencils we at schools HATE as they get chewed up in the normal pencil sharpeners....not this one....It sharpens EVERY SINGLE ONE!

The ONLY issue we had (keeping it real) was attaching it to our 300 year old (not THAT old but still) counters...but it was easily solved we just let it be freestanding. Now run don't walk over to HERE to get yours for your classrooms! Now I am off to arm wrestle mine back to put with my classroom stuff for next year....4 days and 1 hour.....woohoo!

Sparking the Fire

I wanted to share my first Donor's Choose Project. Now I know that everyone in a school spends way over their allotment personally. This is for an organization project, since I am the person who does the computer projects when they ask, I figured I will be doing the tech part (booksource app, labels, leveling) I might as well ask for what I will need to help them. If this helps one student become a reader, it is worth the effort. I donated $50 myself, then (thru May 18th) I used the matching code morningjoe instantly my donation is doubled!  If you can donate please do(don't forget morningjoe), and if you can't that's ok too, I understand. But please let me know some feedback and what you think!

Crafty Projects for Classroom

Don't forget last day to enter my Giveaway drawing tonight at 11:30 pm (cst)

I have lots more to get done but thought I would share what I had gotten done....

First I saw this image on pinterest

I had some left over fabric from my classroom curtains, ended up fitting perfect.

When they said to spray paint over any wording (unless you have dark fabric) it is a good idea....

Remember these

I bit the bullet and ordered them online,

I spray painted them with chalkboard paint (took several coats) I plan on using them to draw names for helpers etc for each lab etc. I will be  storing them in the buckets above.... I used these to write on them.......

There you have it, nothing like waiting until last minute to make things for classroom ! Will be back later tonight with the winner!

STOP this Train I want to get off...

Where did our summer go? It is now 16 days left until RTS! We are allowed in on the 8th, but I am just not wanting to go in any sooner than I have too! I am going in this week to wrap up summer reading stuff, but nothing to do with set up of my room.(In fact I do believe the words disciplinary actions if before the 8th, and let me tell you I get along with the gal that cleans my room, so I am staying away from that issue)

I have been working on recreating some of my "pins" here is one I did (gonna practice this keep calm idea)

You can make your own here

Now, I am a quote lover ....I made the first one, awhile back
Graphics from Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday Digital Kit

This one I did over the weekend....

Hmmm....I am noticing black is my theme...I am trying to stop everything in my room looking like as one blogger said "the rainbow threw up" LOL....Back to my 5 billion to do's! Are you ready?

PS...if you click on the pictures and download, that is fine, but please don't take credit, my "copyright" is hidden, and can be proven ....as there is alot of "misuse" going on....which is not fair....
